haven't updated in a while. not much to say really. i've been reading Henry Rollins' "Get In the Van" and it just makes me feel more seperated from "normal" society, and makes me wish i could just pour my thoughts out that easily.
well that is all. good bye

Music Nonsense
The more I listen to Megadeth, the more I realize how truly great Heavy Metal is/was. Metal bands to today don't hold a candle to the greatness of Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Pantera etc etc. What the fuck happened? Where'd the passion for writing great metal go? Why are all these bands coming out sounding like something the above mentioned bands did 20 years ago, put through a blender of shit and piss getting huge while the classics slowly turn into jokes? That's not right. Now I'm not saying ALL newer metal bands are terrible, there are some great ones out there, putting out quality albums, but those are one out of every ten bands now adays. Back in the day, all of the bands where big, and all of them, though there were simularities, had their own unique sound and persona that was attached to their bands. All the hard work that was put in has been shit away like it didn't mean anything. I'm waiting for the days of great heavy metal to come back, and for shit "deathcore/metal" bands to fade away.

New Mexico
New Mexico is by far the worst place in America. I would have taken pictures of how shitty that state is, but I'm an idiot and i grabbed the wrong camera. Oh well it'll be easier to forget that horrible place.
I'm not doing a top ten album's of the decade list, cause most of what i listen to came out in this decade, or i didn't hear until this decade so it'd be a big pain in my ass to go through everything and find out what came out when.
Next week i turn 24, and i hope to start my torso piece. it'll be an awkward year that's for sure.

XmasX
It's Christmas afternoon and I haven't done anything yet.
Christmas always makes me wish i was a kid again. I used to look forward to this day, and now that I'm older and am my own consumer paying my own bills it's just another day without any meaning to me. It's pretty sad that i have nothing to look forward to most of the time, especially on a day that I used to love.
I got those Christmas Time blues.

I want to start posting in this more.
and not feel embarrassed or shy about what i want to post about.
anyways, here's a list of my favorite albums this year in no order:
Foundation - Hang Your Head
i love this record from start to finish. easily one of the best "throwback" style bands and one of the few really great straight edge bands of the last couple of years.
Dangers - Messy, Isn't it
this band can do no wrong. they're definitely more original in their style of song writing. at least from every hardcore band thats going right now. and the only band i know of thats not afraid to call things like they see it, and be very blunt about it.
Harm's Way - Reality Approaches
it took a little while for me to really get into this but when i did, they became my favorite new hardcore band. this album and band definitely stand out among their peers.
Steel Nation - Forever Wounded
so much pain. so much emotion. so much shredding. great great band. kind of bummed they slowed down a bit but it still works and the songs are still great.
i cant find dates for albums i liked this year so i dont know when they came out, but i really liked:
Punch - s/t
Give Life - demo (i think came out a year or two ago but just this year in america, i think)
Rotting Out - This is Just A Life ep (they are good now but i think they will do better on their next release)
Weekend Nacho's - Unforgiveable (only listened to a couple times, but it was great. I plan on putting it into a heavier rotation)
those are pretty much it for me. not even 10 new records i liked this year. i'm sure i missed tons of stuff, but that probably means it didnt catch my attention like these albums did. i spent a lot of this year listening to older bands, that i listened to way more of than any of this anyways.
thats it for my favorites. i will make an effort to post on this more, hopefully someone becomes interested in it.
